Somebody has invited you to help look after their hermit crabs in Crabitat. You will have been sent an eight-character code along with this link.
What to do
- Install Crabitat from Google Play, if you have not already
- Open it and tap the settings icon, top right
- Choose Join a shared tank
- Enter the code you were sent
You do not need to create an account to use Crabitat, but joining somebody else’s tank does need one, so that entries can record who made them.
What you will be able to do
- See what is due — feeding, water changes, substrate, temperature and humidity checks
- See the tank’s target temperature and humidity
- Log what you have done, recorded under your name
- Read the whole care reference, including every emergency page
What you will not be able to do
- Change the tank’s settings or targets
- Delete anything
- Invite anybody else
The person who invited you can remove your access at any time. Codes expire after seven days and each one works once.
