Ali3N Studios LLC (“we”, “us”) makes EyeShot. This policy supplements our general Ali3N Studios Privacy Policy. It says exactly what the App and our server do with information, why, and for how long.
Summary
- Your photos are saved on your device. They leave it only when you choose an AI enhancement.
- No account. The App uses a random device identifier so your credits can be restored after you reinstall.
- AI enhancement results wait on our server for at most 30 minutes, then are deleted. We never keep the photo you send.
- You can delete everything our server holds about your device from inside the App.
1. Photos on Your Device
Photos you capture or import are saved in EyeShot's own storage on your device.
iOS: That storage is part of your device and iCloud backups if you use them.
Android: Photos are saved in EyeShot's private app storage and are removed if you uninstall. When you choose “Save to gallery”, that copy goes to your device's shared Pictures folder, where other apps and cloud-photo services can see it and where it stays after you uninstall EyeShot. Photos captured with EyeShot versions before 2.1 were saved to Pictures/Ali3NEyeShot and remain there until you delete them.
We never upload, back up or sync your photo library.
2. AI Enhancement
AI enhancement is optional and asks for your consent before first use. When you choose an enhancement:
- The single photo you selected, and the effect you chose, are sent over an encrypted connection to our server at api.ali3nstudios.com, together with your device identifier (Section 3) so the correct credit is charged.
- Our server sends the photo and a text instruction to Google's Gemini API, which returns the edited image. Google receives the photo only — not your device identifier or IP address. We use Gemini as a paid service; under Google's terms for paid use, it does not use your photo to train its models. Google may keep request data for a limited time to detect abuse, under its own terms.
- Our server does not store the photo you sent. It stores the edited result privately, gives your device a link that works for 15 minutes, and deletes the result as soon as your device has downloaded it, or after 30 minutes if it never does (and then refunds the credit).
- We keep a record of each enhancement — your device identifier, the effect, and the times — for 90 days, to charge credits correctly and handle refunds. It contains no image.
3. Your Device Identifier, Credits and Purchases
EyeShot has no accounts. To keep your credits when you reinstall, the App creates a device identifier:
iOS: a random ID stored in your device's keychain, which survives reinstalling the App and is removed if you erase the device.
Android: derived from Android's per-app device ID, which survives reinstalling the App and changes after a factory reset.
The App sends only a one-way hash of that ID. Our server keeps, for that hash:
- credit grants — purchases and the free trial — with the store's receipt identifier, the product, and the time;
- credits spent and refunded, with times;
- the IP address of each ledger request, used only to limit abuse, and deleted after 7 days.
We keep these for as long as you have credits with us, or until you delete them (Section 7).
To confirm a purchase, our server sends the store's transaction or purchase identifier to Apple, Google, Samsung or Amazon, as applicable. We never receive your payment details. The App also reports each completed purchase to RevenueCat, a purchase-analytics service, together with that hashed identifier: the product, price, currency, store country and time. RevenueCat never receives your payment details or photos, and it does not decide your credits.
Credits belong to the device identifier, not to a person: they are restored when you reinstall on the same device, but not on a different device, and not after you erase or factory-reset the device.
4. Analytics and Crash Reports
Android: The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. They collect an app-instance identifier, device model and OS version, app version, in-app events, and crash details. They start only after you accept the Terms, and they do not receive your photos.
iOS: The iOS App does not include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
5. Diagnostics You Send
If you send a bug report by email from the App, we receive what the email contains (your description, app version, device model, and your email address) and use it only to answer you.
6. Who Receives Data
- Google — Gemini API (the photo you enhance), Firebase, on Android only (analytics and crash data).
- Apple, Google Play, Samsung, Amazon — purchase processing, and verification of your purchase identifier.
- RevenueCat — purchase analytics (the hashed device identifier and the details of each purchase).
- Our hosting provider — runs api.ali3nstudios.com and keeps standard web server logs (IP address, time, requested address, browser/app identifier) under its own retention.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it with data brokers.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Delete photos in the Gallery, or all of EyeShot's private copies by uninstalling.
- Don't use AI enhancement, and no photo ever leaves your device.
- Delete your server data: Settings → Delete my EyeShot data. This permanently deletes every credit, purchase record, enhancement record and pending result our server holds for your device. It also deletes the purchase history RevenueCat holds for your device. Your remaining credits are lost and cannot be restored. We keep only one-way fingerprints recording that your device already received the free trial, and already carried over its earlier credits, so neither can be claimed again.
- You can also email developer@ali3nstudios.com for a copy of, or deletion of, your data; Settings shows the device identifier we will need, because we cannot otherwise find your records.
8. Biometric and Sensitive Information
Eye and iris photos can be sensitive. EyeShot does not create biometric templates, does not identify anyone, and must not be used for identification, authentication or medical purposes. Your photos are processed by our server and Google only to produce the enhancement you asked for, and only as described in Section 2.
9. Children
EyeShot is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has used it.
10. Security
All data between the App and our server travels over HTTPS. AI results are stored with access restricted to our server and delivered only through expiring, signed links.
11. Changes
We will update this page and the date above. When a change affects what the App collects or shares, the App will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms again.
