Roast My Room — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ali3N Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Roast My Room mobile application (“App”). This policy supplements our general Ali3N Studios Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

Photos

When you submit a photo for roasting, it is transmitted to our server proxy for AI analysis. Photos are processed transiently and are not stored permanently. They are deleted after processing is complete. Photos are never shared with third parties beyond the AI service used to generate your roast.

Authentication

The App uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication by default. If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive only the information you authorize (typically name and email). Authentication data is used solely for account management and Pro subscription verification.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This helps us improve app stability and understand feature usage. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.

Advertising

Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and advertising data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see ads and no advertising data is collected for them.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect location data
  • We do not collect contacts or address book data
  • We do not collect health or fitness data
  • We do not track users across other apps or websites
  • We do not sell any user data

3. Purchases

All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. Purchase history is managed by Apple and verified through StoreKit.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • AI processing service (Claude via AWS Bedrock) — receives photos for roast generation; photos are not retained
  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, analytics, and crash reporting
  • Google AdMob — advertising for free users only

We do not share data with data brokers or sell data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

  • Photos: deleted immediately after AI processing
  • Authentication data: retained while your account is active
  • Analytics data: retained per Firebase’s standard retention policies
  • Roast history: stored locally on your device only

6. Children’s Privacy

Roast My Room is rated 17+ and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account through the App’s Settings screen or by contacting us at developer@ali3nstudios.com. Upon deletion, all associated data is removed from our systems.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at developer@ali3nstudios.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
