These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Unmasked mobile application (“App”) published by Ali3N Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
This page reproduces, without alteration, the Terms shown inside the App under Settings and on the purchase screen.
By using Unmasked, you agree to the following terms.
1. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE
Unmasked is a self-assessment and personal exploration tool. It is NOT a diagnostic tool, medical device, or substitute for professional evaluation. Results from Unmasked do not constitute a clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum condition or any other condition. Always consult a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist for clinical assessment.
2. INTENDED USE
Unmasked is intended for adults aged 18 and older who wish to explore autistic traits for personal insight. The validated instruments (AQ-10, RAADS-R, CAT-Q, CATI, the ASRS-v1.1 Screener, and the AASPIRE Autistic Burnout Scale – Revised) are screening and measurement tools designed to indicate whether further professional assessment may be warranted. None of them is a diagnostic instrument.
3. AI-GENERATED CONTENT
Unmasked uses artificial intelligence to generate narrative interpretations of your assessment results. AI-generated content is provided for informational and reflective purposes only. It may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Unmasked offers a free tier (AQ-10 screener) and a premium subscription that unlocks additional assessments, AI synthesis, PDF export, and journal features. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms. You may cancel at any time through your Google Play subscription settings.
5. PRIVACY
Your use of Unmasked is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available within the app.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Ali3N Studios LLC provides Unmasked "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any decisions made based on the app's results or AI-generated content. By using this app, you acknowledge that it is a personal exploration tool, not a clinical instrument.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unmasked and its original content are the property of Ali3N Studios LLC. The screening instruments it administers remain the property of their respective authors and are used as follows:
- AQ-10 (Allison, Auyeung & Baron-Cohen, 2012), RAADS-R (Ritvo et al., 2011) and CAT-Q (Hull et al., 2019) are published validated research instruments, reproduced with attribution and without modification.
- CATI (English et al., 2021) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). No changes were made to the instrument.
- The ASRS-v1.1 Screener is © New York University and the President and Fellows of Harvard College (Kessler et al., 2005), reproduced without modification.
- The AASPIRE Autistic Burnout Scale – Revised is © 2025 Academic Autism Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE), used with permission and with attribution. It is reproduced without adaptation or modification. Full citation is displayed in the app under Settings → Sources & Credits and alongside the instrument itself. www.aaspire.org
No instrument in this app has been altered, abridged, or translated.
8. CHANGES
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
